Chestnut Mountain is pleased to host the second annual technology fair! In an effort to prepare and excite our students about the technology available to them, we are giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents. With the tech fair, students will tap into their 21st century learning skills by creating and displaying computer-based projects.
For information about competition categories and rubrics, please visit the tech fair website at gatechfair.org
Our fair will be held during second semester of this year.
Approximately one third of a table will be provided by the host. ALL equipment needed, such as computers, monitors, cables, VCRs, TVs, laser discs, CD-ROMs, etc. must be provided by the participants. Please be sure equipment is charged as there are a limited amount of electric outlets available. NO projection devices or trifold project boards may be used. All software used in the project must be pre-loaded on the computers. Peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, or cameras are not necessary at the fair unless they help in the presentation. However, students must be able to describe how these devices were used if asked by judges.
Students are responsible for the safety and security of their equipment and software, not the fair host.
If your child is interested in participating in Chestnut Mountain’s Technology Fair, please fill out a permission slip. If you have any questions, please direct them to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Thanks in advance for providing this learning opportunity for your child!
